Tulsa's Williams Named Warrior Hockey/ECHL Goaltender of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Devin Williams of the Tulsa Oilers has been selected as the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for October. It is the second time in his career that he has received the monthly honor, after also winning in October 2017.

Williams went 3-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .933 in three appearances during the month.

The 23-year-old allowed two goals or less in two of his three apperances in October, making 32 saves in a 2-1 win against Idaho on Oct. 13, stopping 28 shots in a 6-4 victory over Allen on Oct. 21 and turning aside 23 shots in a 4-1 win agianst Kansas City on Oct. 26.

A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Williams has seen action in four games for Tulsa this season with a record of 3-0-1 with a 2.24 goals-against average and a save percentage of .928.

Williams has appeared in 41 career ECHL?games for the Oilers posting an overall record of 18-11-5 with four shutouts, a 2.49 goals-against average and a save pecentage of .921.

During the 2016-17 season, Williams saw action in 17 games at Acadia University where he went 8-4-0 with a 2.80 goals-against average and a save percentage of .896. He had spent the previous five seasons with Erie of the Ontario Hockey League where he appeared in 175 games with an overall record of 106-47-8, nine shutouts, a 3.02 goals-against average and a save percentage of .900.
