Tulsa's Rautins And Sutton To Compete In 3-Point, Slam Dunk Contests

RENO, Nev., January 7, 2013 - Tulsa 66ers guard Andy Rautins will compete in the 3-Point Shootout and forward Dominique Sutton will participate in the Slam Dunk Competition as part of the NBA D-League Showcase, it was announced earlier today by the NBA Development League.

The two contests will be held Wednesday night at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nev. The competitions will be aired nationally on CBS Sports Network on tape delay.

Rautins enters the 3-Point Shootout with 39 made 3-point field goals - the third most in the D-League. The Syracuse product will compete against Nick Covington (Erie Bayhawks), Justin Dentmon (Austin Toros) and Marcus Landry (Reno Bighorns).

Sutton, who averages 11.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season, will go up against Travis Leslie (Santa Cruz Warriors), Dar Tucker (Reno Bighorns) and Tony Mitchell (Fort Wayne Mad Ants) in the Slam Dunk Competition.

The 66ers are set to play a pair of neutral-site games this week at the Showcase, beginning with a 5:30 p.m. contest against Maine on Tuesday followed by a noon game on Thursday against Fort Wayne. Both games will be televised nationally on NBA TV with Tuesday's matchup being shown on tape day on Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT and Thursday's game airing live.
