CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- After a game that produced a combined 19 runs, the Tulsa Drillers and the Corpus Christi Hooks came into Sunday afternoon's game hoping to quiet the other team's bats. Tulsa's Dustin May and a pair of relief pitchers did just that, combining for a 5-0 shutout win over the Hooks. With the victory, the Drillers Improved their record back to .500.

Tulsa scored two runs on wild pitches, another on a solo home run by Zach McKinstry. May had an outstanding day, picking up his second win of the season.

WHAT YOU MISSED

Tulsa took an early lead in the first inning when a wild pitch by Brett Adcock allowed Angelo Mora to score from third.

There was a rare play in the fourth when Christian Santana hit a hard liner to right fielder Stephen Wrenn who then threw Santana out at first to end the inning.

McKinstry added another run in the fifth with a solo homer, his third of the year.

Tulsa plated its third run in the sixth after a walk and a hit put runners at the corners. A wild pitch by Carlos Sanabria allowed Mora to again score.

After a hit and a walk to start Tulsa's half of the eight, a throwing error by Hooks pitcher Colin McKee brought Mora home for a third time. Santana would then ground into a double play, bringing in Zach Reks and raising Tulsa's lead to 5-0.

May was outstanding, going five innings with only four hits allowed while registering seven strike outs. He lowered his season ERA to 1.50.

With his hit today, Reks increased his hitting streak to five games.
