Week In Review: The Oilers enjoyed a rare weekend off last week and a light schedule that included just a single game on Friday night against the Missouri Mavericks. Rookie forward Adam Pleskach gave Tulsa a 1-0 lead just three minutes into the opening period but the Mavs roared back with four unanswered goals to take control of the contest. Nathan Lutz tallied for Tulsa in the second period and Blair Macaulay scored late in the third, but the Oilers comeback bid fell short in a 5-3 loss on home ice. Tulsa recorded a new season-low with just 20 shots on goal and fell to 0-5-0 this season against Missouri. The Oilers have dropped back-to-back home games for the first time since early November.

Slipping Slightly: The Oilers are hovering at .500 (19-19-2) and have dipped to sixth place in the CHL standings. Tulsa has the fewest games remaining of any team in the league (26) and will finish its season-long six-game home stand this week with contests against Wichita and Missouri.

StoneWolf Series: The StoneWolf Casino Cup series continues on Tuesday night at the BOK Center with the seventh meeting of the season between the Oilers and the Thunder. Five of the previous six meetings have lopsided victories by three goals or more and Tulsa owns the series advantage with a 4-2-0 record against Wichita. Last time the rivals clashed on December 27, the Oilers were handed one of their worst losses of the season in an 8-2 setback to the Thunder. With four straight wins, Wichita is the hottest team in the CHL.

Promotion Pays Off: Rookie forward Blair Macaulay was elevated to the Oilers top line prior to the game against Brampton on January 11 and the 25-year old has made the most of his opportunity. Playing alongside Todd Robinson and Michel Beausoleil for the last three games, Macaualy has recorded two goals and three assists. The Winnipeg native is riding a four-game point streak and ranks third among CHL rookies with 25 points on the season.

Streakers: Tulsa forwards Todd Robinson, Michel Beausoleil, and Ben Gordon have each put up points in five consecutive games. Robinson, tied for the CHL lead with 58 points, has posted 11 points (1 goal, 10 assists) and a +4 rating during his five-game streak. Beausoleil, who leads the team with 23 goals, has nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) on his latest hot streak while Gordon has tallied four goals, five assists, and a +5 rating.

300 For Rammer: Last Friday's contest against Missouri was Bruce Ramsay's 300th game behind the Oilers bench. In his fifth season as Tulsa's head coach, Ramsay has the second longest tenure of any Oilers bench boss since the re-birth of the CHL in 1992. Through 300 games with the Oilers, Ramsay has a record of 133-139-28 and he ranks second in franchise history behind Garry Unger in games, wins, and playoff victories.

Return of "Checker": After missing the last five games, Oilers center Kyle Bochek is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday night when Tulsa takes on Wichita. Bochek, who has posted 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) in 34 games this season, leads the Oilers with a +17 rating and ranks second in the CHL with 121 penalty minutes.

Better With Age: Right wing Michel Beausoleil leads the Oilers with 23 goals and is closing on his highest output as an Oiler. In the 2010-11 season, the Montreal native appeared in 61 games and scored 25 goals while dishing out 28 assists to help the Oilers into the playoffs.

Oil Drops: Ryan Menei is six points shy of 400 for his career...Craig Cescon is second among all CHL defensemen with 95 penalty minutes...Adam Pleskach (37 points), Blair Macaulay (25 points), and Scott Macaulay (23 points) all rank in the top ten in the league in rookie scoring...Shane Madolora has appeared in 34 games this season, eight more than any other goaltender in the league.
