SALISBURY, MD - Jiandido Tromp hit a 3-run home run in a six-run BlueClaws sixth inning as Lakewood snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over Delmarva on Friday night at Perdue Stadium.

The win gives the BlueClaws (4-5/37-40) a 4-5 trip to start the second half as they head home to start a nine-game homestand on Saturday. Delmarva's four-game win streak was snapped as they fall to 6-3/39-38.

The BlueClaws, trailing 1-0, scored six times in the fifth inning to come back and blow open the game. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Herlis Rodriguez reached on a fielding error by first baseman Riley Palmer which allowed the first run to score. Damek Tomscha then lined an RBI single to left, extending his hitting streak to six, that put the BlueClaws up 2-1. A Cord Sandberg SAC fly extend the lead to 3-1 before the biggest hit of the inning.

Tromp, who had been without a home run after hitting 14 with Williamsport last year, launched a 3-run blast over the left field wall that put the BlueClaws up 6-1. The six-run inning was the largest by the BlueClaws this year (they had five five-run innings).

Chris Oliver allowed one run over five innings to improve to 4-5 on the season before giving way to Austin Davis, who inherited two base-runners and got out of the jam in the sixth inning. Davis gave up one run, a seventh inning home run to Yermin Mercedes, over three innings of work.

Delmarva starter John Means (5-5) took the loss, allowing six runs in 4.2 innings, though all six runs were unearned.

Tomscha's RBI single in the fifth inning gives him a five-game hitting streak.

The BlueClaws return home on Saturday to open a four-game series with Hagerstown. LHP Elniery Garcia (5-6) starts for the BlueClaws against RHP Mario Sanchez (4-2).
