Rome, GA - Lexington topped Rome Friday evening 4-2 at State Mutual Stadium before a capacity crowd of 5,105 fans.Lexington pushed two runs across the plate in the first inning on a run scoring single by Elier Hernandez and a sacrifice fly RBI by Wander Franco. Rome cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning on Matt Tellor's RBI groundout making it a 2-1 game. The Legends extended their lead to 3-1 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly RBI Ryan O'Hearn but Rome grabbed the run back in the eighth on Tanner Murphy's RBI groundout for the 3-2 score. Lexington got an insurance run in the ninth and held on for the 4-2 win.

Yunior Marte (3-0) gets the win for Lexington and Ricardo Sanchez (1-5) is hit with the loss for Rome.
