LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. - Despite a three-hit game by Trayvon Robinson and three other multi-hit performances, the Indians couldn't capitalize in key moments and stranded nine on the bases to drop the series finale to Gwinnett, 5-3, and finish the season 0-6 at Coolray Field.

Eduardo Vera (L, 4-6), went 5.2 innings and gave up three runs on five hits to the Gwinnett offense. He hit two batters in the third inning and gave up a total of four free bases, resulting in two runs.

Gwinnett (46-35) took advantage of a leadoff hit batter in the third to begin the scoring. Luis Marte sent a double out to left field to bring around Connor Lien, and with one out Jack Lopez singled to right field to give the Stripers a 2-0 lead.

Two straight singles for Jake Elmore and Trayvon Robinson got things going for the Indians to begin the fourth inning. After a double-play erased Robinson on the bases, Eric Wood doubled to center field to bring in Elmore and cut the deficit in half.

The Tribe (41-39) stranded the bases loaded with two outs but took the momentum into the fifth inning. After two singles again by Elmore and Robinson, Elmore got out of a rundown and tied the game up at 2-2 thanks to an error by catcher Alex Jackson.

The Stripers took the lead again in the sixth on back-to-back doubles and went into the seventh looking to build onto their lead. Two free bases - a walk and an error - put runners at the corners to begin the inning. A pinch-hit single by Adam Duvall and a double-play resulted in a 5-2 Gwinnett lead.

Three straight two-out singles mounted a rally for the Tribe and scored one, but the bats couldn't string enough together to catch the Stripers.

Luis Escobar came in relief of Vera and gave up the final two Gwinnett runs, neither of them earned. Jake Brentz threw the final inning for the Indians and held the Stripers scoreless after allowing two hits.

Shane Carle (W, 4-2) came in relief of Gwinnett starter Kolby Allard and earned the win after throwing two scoreless innings. Dylan Creasy recorded his first save when he came in for the final out after Jose Rafael De Paula suffered an injury.

The Indians continue their road trip with a three-game set at Louisville beginning tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. ET.
