
IronPigs finish off sweep of RailRiders

(Allentown, Pa) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (38-41) continued their strong play against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (46-35) on Sunday afternoon as they won 10-7. The IronPigs now lead the IronRail series, 8-4.
Clint Frazier hit an RBI double off Ramon Rosso in the top of the RailRiders to take a 1-0 lead. Nick Williams homered off Brody Koerner to tie the game at 1-1. Williams extended his hitting streak to 14 games and 19 overall dating back to 2017.
Mike Ford and Tyler Wade hit RBI singles off Rosso in the top of the fourth inning to give Scranton/Wilkes-Barre a 3-1 lead. The Pigs scored four runs off Koerner in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-4 lead. Jan Hernandez hit a two-run double and Andrew Romine hit a two-run single.
Ali Castillo hit a sacrifice fly off David Sosbee in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend the IronPigs lead to 6-4. Logan Morrison hit a two-run home run off Edubray Ramos (2-0) in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 6-6.
The Pigs tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 10-6 lead. Castillo scored on a fielder's choice and Deivy Grullon hit a three-run home run - all runs were scored off Danny Coulombe (2-2).
Former IronPig Erik Kratz hit an RBI single off Yacksel Rios in the top of the ninth inning to cut the IronPigs lead to 10-7. Ben Heller made a Good Shepard Rehab appearance and only pitched the bottom of the first inning. He issued one walk and struck out one batter.
The IronPigs begin a three-game series on the road in Buffalo as they play the Bisons starting on Monday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
