
Tri-City ValleyCats Announce Management Changes

Tri-City ValleyCats News Release
The Tri-City ValleyCats today announced the appointment of R.C. Reuteman as Vice President and General Manager, effective September 15, 2004. Rick Murphy, Vice President and General Manager since the inception of the franchise will continue as a Vice President.
Reuteman has been a minor league baseball executive in senior management and general management positions for more than 20 years with the Triple A Norfolk Tides, Double A Binghamton Mets and the Brooklyn Cyclones. "We are delighted to have a man of R.C.'s baseball experience and good judgment join our organization: he has excelled wherever he has been" said Bill Gladstone, the ValleyCats President and principal shareholder.
"Rick Murphy has done an outstanding job in bringing the ValleyCats and its predecessor Pittsfield Mets to where we are today. His untiring efforts and management skills were the key ingredients in the successful launching of the ValleyCats at Joseph L. Bruno stadium.
The first place ValleyCats have 9 more home games including August 21- 26 and September 2, 3 and 4, the last days of the 2004 season. Playoffs begin September 6 for the three division leaders and a wild card team.
