
Renegades shutout IronBirds; remain first in wild card

Fishkill, NY- The Hudson Valley Renegades were victorious for the second straight night over the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 2-0 at Dutchess Stadium in front of a sell out crowd of 4,728. The win keeps the Renegades ahead in the New York-Penn League wild card standings.
Brandon Mann (W, 3-4) earned the win for the Renegades pitching six innings allowing five hits and no runs while striking out five. Jose Delacruz (S, 5) entered in the seventh and earned the old fashioned three inning save allowing two hits and no runs in the three innings of relief.
Bryce Chamberlin (L, 1-6) got the loss for Aberdeen. He pitched six innings allowing four hits and two runs.
After CF Fernando Perez singled to lead off the inning, DH John Jaso had the only two RBI's on the night for the Renegades hitting a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. It was his first homerun of the season.
The Renegades go for the sweep tomorrow night at Dutchess Stadium. Scheduled to pitch for the Renegades is Matt Cobb and Robert McCrory for Aberdeen. Game time is 7:11 PM.
