Tri-City Takes Pitches' Duel

In front of a sold out crowd of 3,767 fans at Gesa Stadium on Saturday night the Tri-City Dust Devils (6-6, 22-28) came away with the 2-1 win over the Vancouver Canadians (4-8, 19-31). The victory is the third straight for the Dust Devils.

For the second consecutive night the pitching staff held Vancouver to only one run. A Ronny Brito solo home run gave the Canadians the lead in the third inning. The Dust Devils rallied to take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Tri-City scored two runs off of Vancouver starter Adam Kloffenstein after the bases were loaded with no outs. Wen-Hua Sung earned the win after tossing two scoreless innings in relief and Tom Colletti picked up his second save of the season.

Right-hander Jason Reynolds will toe rubber on Sunday night the series finale as the team looks for the sweep. The Canadians will counter with right-hander Gabriel Ponce.
