Frogs' Bats Fall Flat, 7-1

EVERETT, Wash. - The AquaSox struggled at the plate, registering only one hit and no RBIs in their 7-1 loss against the Spokane Indians.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Luis Asuncion tripled in the top of the first, driving in David Garcia and giving Spokane an early lead. Blaine Crim drove in another run for the Indians in the third inning, extending their lead to 2-0.

After a Spokane throwing error, Patrick Frick scored the Frogs' first run of the game in the seventh inning. Spokane answered quickly, scoring a run in the top of the eighth and taking back their two-run lead; the Indians scored four more runs the next inning. In the bottom of the ninth, Spokane retired all three AquaSox batters in a row, defeating the 'Sox 7-1.

WRAPPING IT UP

At the plate, Cash Gladfelter registered the Frogs' sole hit of the game. On the mound, Juan Then pitched 4.1 innings, striking out four batters and allowing three hits. Matt Martin closed, pitching the last 4.2 innings of the game. He struck out seven batters and gave up four hits.
