Tri-City Storm News Release
Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm has advanced to the Clark Cup Finals for the second time in club history and faces the Eastern Conference's Dubuque Fighting Saints in a best-of-five series.
The Storm's run has included a measure of revenge in both series. In the opening round, the Storm swept Sioux Falls. Last season, the Stampede eliminated the Storm in the Western Conference Finals.
In the Conference Finals, Tri-City bested Waterloo in the decisive fifth game. Waterloo beat the Storm in the Clark Cup Finals in 2004.
Tri-City is the Western Conference's one-seed with 73 points, but third-seeded Dubuque finished with more regular season points (80) in the Eastern Conference and holds home ice advantage.
Game 1 of the Clark Cup Finals is Friday, May 13 at 7:35 p.m. at the Mystique Ice Center in Dubuque. Game 2 is Saturday, May 14 at 7:05 p.m.
The Storm is home at the Viaero Center for Game 3 on Friday, May 20 at 7:05 p.m. If necessary, Game 4 is Saturday, May 21 at 7:05 p.m. Both games feature $5 kids tickets and $6 student tickets and the Storm will announce more specials within the next few days.
