Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

CHICAGO - The USHL league office has announced the selections for the All-USHL Team. Fighting Saints forward Nathan Sucese earned second-team forward honors, and defenseman Keegan Ford earned third-team defenseman honors. The teams were voted on and selected by GMs across the USHL.

Sucese completed the 2015-16 campaign as Dubuque's leading scorer, and the league's fifth-leading overall scorer. The Penn State commit contributed 26 goals and 33 assists in 60 games, and in the midst of that, showed a flair for the dramatic. Six of his goals were of the game-winning variety.

Sucese's crowning achievement during this past season was a stretch where he was simply unstoppable. He cut through opposing defenses to the tune of 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) in a span between December 4, 2015 and January 8, 2016.

Ford returned for his fourth season wearing the red and white, and he excelled every step of the way. Consistently the team's top defenseman, the Waunakee, Wis. native notched 36 points during the regular season. That total smashed his prior career high of 17 points. Ford, the team's captain during 2015-16, is committed to Michigan Tech.

Ford represented the United States at the World Junior-A Challenge this past December, and won bronze, along with teammates Willie Knierim and Spenser Young. He also captured the Clark Cup during the 2012-13 season.

The Clark Cup Final begins this weekend at Our House! Tickets are available for Game 1, this Friday at 7:35 p.m., and Game 2, this Saturday at 7:05 p.m., by calling the box office at 563.583.6880, or by going to DubuqueFightingSaints.com.
