February 10, 2020 - NBA G League (G League) - Maine Red Claws News Release

PORTLAND, Maine - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, announced today that Tremont Waters has been named to the Eastern Conference Midseason All-NBA G League Team.

The Midseason All-NBA G League Team is the G League's equivalent of an All-Star team. NBA G League coaches and general managers voted on the top performers from the first half of the season, based on the performance of players in games through Jan. 28, 2020. Players must have played in 50% of a team's games in order to qualify.

Waters was named NBA G League Player of the Month for November and has twice been named NBA G League Player of the Week. He is the first Red Claws player to earn multiple Player of the Week honors since Tim Frazier in 2015-16.

Waters, a Two-Way Player with the Red Claws, has played in 26 games with the Red Claws, averaging 19.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game, ranking in the Top 5 in the G League in both assists and steals. The Red Claws are 20-6 with Waters in the lineup.

Waters was the 51st overall selection by Boston in the 2019 NBA Draft, signing a Two-Way Contract with the Celtics over the summer. Waters has played in 9 games with the Celtics, averaging 3.1 points in 8.1 minutes per game.

The Red Claws have two games left before the All-Star Break. Maine is at Windy City tonight, and will be in Fort Wayne tomorrow night.
