North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers pitched their second straight shutout, blanking the Tulsa Drillers 1-0 on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Three Travs pitchers combined to hold the Drillers to eight hits including seven singles and just one walk while striking out 12. Alejandro Requena pitched the first six innings and struck out eight batters on the way to his second win of the season. Moises Gomez pitched the seventh and eighth innings before Michael Stryffeler worked the ninth for his first save.
Moments That Mattered
* The game's only run scored in the fourth inning when the Travs loaded the bases on a single and two walks. Stephen Wrenn then reached on a fielder's choice getting the run home from third.
* Keegan McGovern threw out the potential tying run at home plate to end the top of the eighth inning. On a base hit to right field, McGovern charged the base hit and came up throwing and nailed Hunter Feduccia at the plate.
