Amarillo, TX - Arkansas led all the way after a three-run first inning as the Travelers knocked off the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 4-2 on Friday night. Juan Mercedes struck out seven over five innings as four Travs pitchers combined for a dozen strikeouts on the night. Peyton Alford (2 IP), Jimmy Joyce (IP) and Luis Curvelo (Sv, IP) finished it off as Mercedes earned his eighth win of the year. Ben Williamson went 2-4 for the Travs with a double and two runs batted in.

* Williamson hit a two-run double with two strikes in the first inning to stake the Travs to the early lead.
* Amarillo had two on the seventh down by just a run but Peyton Alford got out of it with no damage.
