Danbury Trashers News Release
The Danbury Trashers finished off their 2-1 week with an impressive 6-1 victory over the Richmond Riverdogs at the Danbury Ice Arena before a capacity crowd of 3,005. Danbury's Mike Bayrack scored five points on a pair of goals, becoming the first Trashers player in franchise history to notch a five-point night.
Another milestone was reached earlier last week as Danbury forward John Morlang became the first player in team history to score a hat-trick in the Trashers' 6-4 come from behind win in Elmira.
The Trashers have two huge opportunities to extend their slim one-point lead over Adirondack in the Eastern Division with head-to-head games in Glens Falls on Wednesday and Friday before returning home on Saturday to host Elmira and Sunday afternoon against Port Huron.
