He reached the Triple-A level in 2019, hitting .333/.368/.556 in 15 appearances for the Las Vegas Aviators in the final month of the season. He crushed a walk-off three-run home run in his first Triple-A at-bat on Aug. 2, 2019 to seal a 10-8 10-inning win for Las Vegas over the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Loehr was promoted to Triple-A after hitting .291/.351/.391 in 93 games for the Advanced-A Stockton Ports. Combined in 2019, Loehr hit .295/.352/.407 with 114 hits, 45 RBIs, 22 doubles, and five home runs. He elected free agency on Nov. 2, 2020.
In 2018, Loehr was named a Midwest League (Single-A) All-Star while playing for the Beloit Snappers. In 118 games split between Advanced-A Stockton and Single-A Beloit in 2018, Loehr hit .274/.331/.366 with 122 hits, 26 doubles, 33 RBIs, three triples, three home runs, 38 walks, and 16 stolen bases. He earned Midwest League Player of the Week honors for the week of Aug. 28, 2016 in his first season with the Snappers.
Loehr was committed and signed to play college baseball for Oregon State, but decided to go the professional route after being selected by the Athletics with the 192nd overall pick in the 2014 Draft and offered a $600,000 signing bonus out of high school. The two-time Northwest Oregon Conference Player of the Year hit .538 with 11 doubles, five triples, one home run and stole 21 bases as a senior for the Rex
Putnam High School Kingsmen and was named a 2014 Perfect Game First Team All-American. As a second baseman, Loehr helped USA Baseball's 18U national team to a IBAF AAA/18U World Cup championship in Taiwan in September 2013.
Loehr is the 5th RedHawks player acquired by an MLB organization this year and the third this month (RHP Frank Duncan - Colorado, RHP Kevin Herget - Cleveland). He is the 85th player in Fargo-Moorhead franchise history to be acquired by a major league franchise, with three of those players going on to play in the Majors.
The RedHawks will open up a three-game series at home against the Houston Apollos on Friday night at Newman Outdoor Field, with postgame fireworks to follow Friday night's contest. First pitch is scheduled for 7:02 p.m. This year also marks the team's 25th Anniversary, with various celebrations to be held throughout the year.
