"Tour For The Cure" to stop at Waterfront Park

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are pleased to announce that they will be part of the "Tour For The Cure" charity expedition on September the 4th as the Thunder host the Reading Phillies at 1:35 pm.

The "Tour For The Cure" is a nation wide tour of 180 major and minor league baseball stadiums in order to raise money for cancer research.

In order to assist in the charity efforts, the Thunder will be setting up a table on the main concourse in order to raise awareness and host a raffle of signed replica jerseys, and a baseball signed by Phillip Hughes (the Yankees top pitching prospect). The main representative for "Tour For The Cure" will also be participating in the in game promotion "Chase Frisbee Toss" which could earn the cause up to $100.00. All of the money raised will be donated to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For further information about the tour fans are instructed to visit www.tourforthecure.org.

September 4th will also be the season finale for the First Place Thunder who will be hosting the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) and holding a labor day picnic with $1 hot dogs. Playoff tickets are on sale now by calling 609-394-3300.
