Toros Topple Stampede in Home-Opener

BOISE, Idaho - Will Barton, an assigned player from the Portland Trail Blazers, scored 18 points and added eight rebounds, three blocks and three assists but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Austin Toros 113-91. Victor Claver, also assigned with Barton from Portland, added eight points and six rebounds in the loss for Idaho (0-5).

Coby Karl scored 18 for the Stampede and Sean Evans piled up another double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, but Idaho shot just 38.6 percent from the field, including a 4-of-20 performance from the three-point line. The Stampede only led once, taking a one-point advantage with 3 minutes left in the first quarter; they trailed by as many as 29.

Austin's (3-2) Justin Dentmon had a game-high 28 points, making 6-of-11 threes, while Tyler Wilkerson had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Aubrey Coleman had 17 points and eight rebounds, while Patrick Sullivan had seven points, four rebounds and six blocked shots.

The Stampede will look for their first win of the season tomorrow against the Toros at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena.
