Stampede Swept by Toros

BOISE, Idaho - Will Barton had 21 points in his second game with the Stampede after being assigned by the Blazers yesterday, but Idaho (0-6) lost to the Austin Toros 98-88. Victor Claver, also on assignment and in his second game in the D-League, had 15 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Austin (4-2) was led by Luther Head, who scored 21 points off the bench. Justin Dentmon added 16 points and Rick Jackson had 11 points and nine rebounds as Austin shot 54.3 percent from the field. Tyler Wilkerson added 14 points and Aubrey Coleman had 10.

Idaho again struggled from the field, making just 34-of-84 shots (40.5 percent), as wing players Seth Tarver and Durrell Summers made a combined 3-of-18 shots. Sean Evans had 14 points and eight rebounds and Coby Karl added 14 points and nine rebounds for Idaho, who plays the Santa Cruz Warriors next weekend at CenturyLink Arena in downtown Boise.

Idaho led 52-46 at the half, before losing the third quarter 33-19 due to hot shooting from Head and the Toros - the Illinois product had 11 points and Austin made 14-of-21 shots while Idaho managed to shoot just 7-of-19 in the third.
