Toronto Argonauts News Release
Toronto â Following Monday's 25-16 loss to the Ottawa Renegades, and the subsequent tie in the standings, the following scenarios could play out over the course of the next two weeks:
The Toronto Argonauts would advance and the Renegades would be eliminated from the 2003 playoffs if any of the following were to occur:
· The Argonauts win their final two games of the regular season (Oct. 17 vs. Montreal and Oct. 24 vs. Calgary). · The Argonauts win one of their final regular-season games and tie the other.
The Ottawa Renegades (7-10-0) would qualify for the 2003 playoffs if any of the following were to occur:
· The Toronto Argonauts (7-9-0) lose their final two games of the regular season (Oct. 17 vs. Montreal and Oct. 24 vs. Calgary).
· The Argonauts lose one of their final two regular-season games (and win or tie the other) and the Renegades beat Montreal (Oct. 26 @ Montreal) in the final Canadian Football League regular-season game.
· The Argonauts lose one of their final two regular-season games and tie the other and the Renegades tie Montreal.
· The Argonauts tie both their final two regular-season games and the Renegades beat Montreal.
Here is the remaining schedule of the 2003 CFL season for Ottawa and Toronto.
Ottawa (1 game remaining): Oct. 26 @ Montreal.
Toronto (2 games remaining): Oct. 17 vs. Montreal; Oct. 24 vs. Calgary.
