Toronto, ON (October 2, 2003) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) and Rogers AT&T Wireless announced today a four year, multi-million dollar integrated sponsorship agreement to take effect immediately. Under the terms of this agreement, Rogers AT&T Wireless will be designated the Premiere Sponsor of the CFL, paving the way for the two organizations to develop and co-market consumer and fan-based programs during the regular football season and continuing through to Grey Cup.

Rogers AT&T Wireless and the CFL have committed to building recognizable heroes through an innovative program that embraces the on and off-field efforts of CFL players. This program, designated the Rogers AT&T Wireless Heroes program, provides CFL fans with a new and exciting opportunity to interact with the League during televised CFL games. Using their Rogers AT&T Wireless devices, fans can register a vote for the coveted Rogers AT&T Player of the Game Award, with the winners being announced live at the conclusion of all games broadcast on TSN. The program, which runs the length of the CFL season, encompasses the Rogers AT&T Players of the Week and Players of the Month awards, as well as the "Fans' Choice" for Player of the Year presented at the CFL Player Awards Show during the 2003 Grey Cup in Regina.

"This alliance presents a landmark opportunity for the CFL to extend its reach to fans and further ignite the passion and excitement felt by Canadians across the nation for our game," said Tom Wright, Commissioner of the CFL. "Combining the tradition and values of the CFL with the technology innovation of Rogers AT&T Wireless puts Canada's sport directly into the hands and hearts of those who help distinguish this League above the rest. We are proud to be working with Rogers AT&T Wireless and look forward to building upon the spirit and heroes of Canadian football."

"Rogers AT&T Wireless is both proud and excited to kick off our new relationship with the Canadian Football League," said Rob Bruce, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rogers AT&T Wireless. "The CFL has over 100 years of history in reaching Canadians in every region of the country and is one of Canada's most valuable sports properties. This agreement provides our customers with the unique opportunity to use the power of text messaging to connect with their favourite team, player and sports property from the stands, from their homes, or wherever they are within the vast Rogers AT&T Wireless network."

This premiere sponsorship agreement also provides Rogers AT&T Wireless with a dominant broadcast presence, the rights to the use of CFL logos and trademarks, use of the Grey Cup Game logos and trademarks and designation of Rogers AT&T Wireless as the Official Telecommunications Sponsor of the Canadian Football League.
