Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â Ottawa Renegades fullback Darren Joseph tied a Canadian Football League record on Thanksgiving during a 21-15 victory over the Toronto Argonauts.
Joseph, an Ottawa native and 12-year CFL veteran, made seven tackles on special teams, tying a league record. Only Donovan Gans (Birmingham in 1995), Norman Bradford (Shreveport in 1995), Brendan Rogers (Winnipeg in 1994), Terry Wright (Hamilton in 1991) and Paul Clatney (Calgary in 1991) have recorded seven special-teams tackles in one regular-season games.
Renegades coach Joe Paopao today compared Joseph's performance to a 300-yard game by a running back.
