Lions Unveil 50th Season Sll-Time Dream Team

VANCOUVER, B.C, OCTOBER 14, 2003 – Today the BC Lions released the names of the 26 players and one coach who were voted by fans to the BC Lions 50th Season All-Time Dream Team. The Dream Team, presented by Bell Mobility, was determined by fan voting, and over 4,500 ballots were cast.

In order to be on the Dream Team ballot, all of the players must have met the following criteria: they must have played at least 50 games or have been a finalist for a CFL's Outstanding Player Award. All the coaches on the ballot must have had either a winning record, a Grey Cup victory, or have been the first coach.

There were 137 players and nine coaches listed on the Dream Team ballot. >From June 20 to August 22 over 4,500 votes were submitted by either cutting ballots out of the Vancouver Sun and The Province, filling out ballots during BC Lions' home games or at all Lower Mainland Bell World locations. Fans could also fill out the ballot on the Internet at www.bclions.com.

The final Dream Team consists of 12 positions on offence, 12 positions on defence, one punter/kicker, one return specialist and one head coach.
