
Tornadoes pass 100,000 in attendance at Hanover Park

WORCESTER, MA- The Tornadoes passed the 100,000 plus attendance mark on Tuesday night as they won 10-5 over the Sussex Skyhawks. The crowd of 3,214 was the 15th sellout of the 2006 season at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. To date, the team's average home attendance of 2,762 is third in the CanAm League, but Worcester fans lead the league in packing the HIP at an average 93% of capacity through 37 dates.
"We are thrilled, and very grateful that our fan base has grown significantly in our second year of operation, and that so many families from Worcester and Central Massachusetts have come out to enjoy exciting Tornadoes baseball this season," said Alan Stone, President & CEO.
