Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies will welcome one of the newest members to the ECHL when the Long Beach Ice Dogs, formerly of the West Coast Hockey League, invade Boardwalk Hall tomorrow night at 7:05PM. The matchup will be the first for the Bullies against a team from the former WCHL, whose seven franchises merged with the East Coast Hockey League in the summer to form the new ECHL.

The Bullies are undefeated since May 10 having captured the 2003 Kelly Cup, winning all three preseason contests, and opening the 2003-04 regular season at 3-0-0 following Wednesday night's 3-0 shutout against Roanoke. Goaltender Jake Moreland stole the show in his professionial debut stopping all 27 Express shots. Meanwhile, rookie forward Sam Paolini continued his torrid start netting his third goal of the season that turned out to be the eventual game-winner. Paolini's 7 points leads the Bullies in scoring while him, forward Jim Leger, and defenseman Kam White have all started the year with three-game scoring streaks.

The Long Beach Ice Dogs have opened their inaugural season in the ECHL 3,000 miles away from home with visits so far to Roanoke, Johnstown, and Wheeling. After winning their ECHL debut against the Express on opening night 5-4, the Ice Dogs have dropped two in a row and will look to snap their losing streak tonight in Trenton.

The Bullies organization has decided to go out of their way to make their California bretheren feel at home. Tomorrow will be "Beach Night" at Boardwalk Hall, and all fans are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Hawaiian shirts and beach attire so that the Ice Dogs feel welcomed in South Jersey, at least until the drop of the puck.

Great tickets are still available for tomorrow night's game. For more information, call a Bullies sales representative at (609) 348-7825 or search online at www.boardwalkbullies.com.
