Chiefs Win Fourth Straight

Dayton, OH- The Johnstown Chiefs extended their winning streak to four games as they picked up a 6-1 road win Friday night over the Dayton Bombers.

Jason Notermann had two goals for the Chiefs while Dmitri Tarabrin, Jay Langager, Dominic Forget and Brent Kelly also scored. Jason Deskins scored the lone Dayton goal.

Chiefs goaltender Arturs Irbe played strong again in net stopping 28 of 29 Bombers shots. Since being assigned to the Chiefs last week from the Carolina Hurricanes, Irbe is 3-0-0 with a 1.33 GAA. Dayton goaltender Bujar Amidovski suffered the loss making 25 saves.

In the last four games the Chiefs have outscored their opponents 21-5. The Chiefs are now 4-1-0 on the season.

The Chiefs will now enjoy a rare weekend off as they are idle until next Friday night when return home to take on Dayton at 7:05 p.m.. Saturday, November 1, The Chiefs will host the Reading Royals. For tickets call (814) 536-5156 or 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
