Oklahoma City Comets News Release

NASHVILLE - The Oklahoma City RedHawks final game of their series with the Nashville Sounds has been postponed due to rain. The teams will make the game up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, June 28 at 6:05 p.m. during the RedHawks next trip to Greer Stadium.

The RedHawks won two of their three games against the Sounds, giving them a 5-2 road trip to start the season. It's the first winning season-opening road trip for the team since 2004.

The RedHawks return to Oklahoma City to begin their first eight-game homestand of the season Friday at 7:05 p.m. against the Memphis Redbirds. Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, and there will be post-game fireworks.

Following the third inning, the RedHawks and INTEGRIS Health will honor Mary Beth Davis during the season's first "Home Run For Life." The 22-year-old Davis was left paralyzed following a car accident in 2010, but now she uses a unique Ekso bionic suit to walk during her physical therapy. Davis will use the suit on the field.

Limited tickets are available and can be purchased through the RedHawks box office on S. Mickey Mantle Drive, by calling (405) 218-1000, or through okcredhawks.com.
