Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Amarillo, TX 2/22/08 - The Amarillo Gorillas will be at home this weekend games on Friday and Sunday night, taking on the Tulsa Oilers and the Youngstown Steelhounds. It is the second meeting between Amarillo and Tulsa this year, and first since the Gorillas opening game of the season. Tulsa and Amarillo will become much more familiar with one another, as they play three times over the final 16 games of the season. Sunday's game against Youngstown is the only meeting of the year between the two clubs. Sandwiched between the pair of home games, the Gorillas will head to Odessa for a Saturday night tilt at the Ector County Coliseum. The last time Amarillo was there, they set a season high for goals scored, thumping the Jackalopes 9-5.
On Friday night (the 22nd), the first 1,000 fans out to the Civic Center will receive the third set of limited edition Amarillo Gorillas trading cards, courtesy of the Amarillo Laser and Vein Clinic. The fourth and final set of trading cards will be handed out on March 8th.
