The Bucks come into tonight with an eight-point lead on the Sundogs (69 to 61). Including tonight's game, the Bucks have 12 regular season games left, while the Sundogs have to play 15. Arizona hosts New Mexico tonight.

Last night the Bucks had their three-game winning streak snapped, as they fell at home to Odessa 3-2. Laredo gave up two first period power-play goals to fall behind. Andrew Dejardins (17-30-47) and Jeff Bes (38-46=84) scored in the third period for the Bucks, but it was not enough to overtake the Jackalopes, as Laredo lost their second straight home game (0-1-1).

With Bes' goal last night he now leads the Sundogs Alex Leavitt by two points in the CHL scoring race (84 to 82). Desjardins is third among CHL rookies in scoring, six points behind the leader (Amarillo's David Nimmo's 53 points).

Corpus Christi comes into tonight fighting for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Southern Conference. The Rayz are two points behind Amarillo for the last playoff berth.

The Rayz have just one win in their last six games (1-4-1), and have 15 regular season games left to chase the postseason.

Last night Corpus could not hold a 3-1 lead and fell in Bossier 5-4. The Mudbugs scored two third period goals, including Elias Godoy's game-winner with just 53 seconds left in the third period.

Tonight marks the last regular season meeting between the two teams at the American Bank Center. Laredo will host Corpus two more times at the LEC (February 27, March 1).

The Bucks will be back in action Saturday at Rio Grande Valley, before starting a season-long five game homes stand on February 27th against the Rayz. Group tickets start at $10, with individual tickets starting at $12.75. Call 718-BUCK (2825) to order your tickets today.
