BOSSIER CITY, LA - In addition to our Faith & Family night and special $5.00 ticket offer on Saturday, the Mudbugs are proud to announce that they are teaming up with the CARA Center for abused and neglected children at Saturday night's game as well.
Visit the CARA Center table on the concourse at the game where you can help them raise money and find out more about the valuable services they offer. You will have chances to bid on the autographed Mudbugs hockey stick that will be auctioned off and buy tickets for the 50/50 raffle they will be having as well. All the proceeds will go to the CARA Center .
The Cara Center is a collaborative effort of CHRISTUS Schumpert and LSU Health Sciences Center , located in a building adjacent to the
St. Mary Place hospital in Shreveport . Its primary purpose is to provide medical care to victims of suspected child abuse and to provide follow-up services such as counseling for the child and family. The staff also assists with law enforcement and court proceedings always working in behalf of what is best for the child involved.
Also on Saturday night as the Mudbugs battle the division rival Mississippi RiverKings, we will celebrate Faith & Family Night with church groups from all over the Ark-La-Tex in attendance and a special post-game concert featuring contemporary Christian artist Brandon Heath, brought to you by the Mudbugs and LifeWay Christian Stores.
Don't forget that Saturday is also a special chance for you to take in the Mudbugs and RiverKings for just $5.00! For the first time this season, the second-level of CenturyTel Center will be opened up and those balcony seats can be purchased for $5.00 each for Saturday only.
Bossier-Shreveport and Mississippi will clash for the ninth time this season at 7:05 pm on Saturday night, with the Mudbugs coming off Friday night's road game against the Texas Brahmas and the RiverKings feeling good after a 5-1 win over Texas on Thursday night. Individual tickets for this important match-up can be purchased through Ticketmaster at 318-741-9700 and group tickets are on sale through the Mudbugs office at 318-752-BUGS.
