
Toledo Starts the Conference Finals in Gwinnett

(Duluth, GA) The Toledo Storm is in the Conference Finals for the first time since 1996 as they take on the Gwinnett Gladiators. The Toledo Storm defeated the Wheeling Nailers 3 games to 2 in the North Division Finals, while Gwinnett took down the Florida Everblades 3 games to 1. A complete schedule and breakdown of the best of seven series is listed below.
Notes for the Conference Finals! Toledo and Gwinnett have met just once all-time, on December 17, 2005 in Gwinnett. The Gladiators won that game 6-3 over the Storm. This conference finals meeting also pits two Division winners against each other. Toledo was 46-21-5 in the regular season to finish first in the North Division. Gwinnett finished first in the American Conference and the South Division with a record of 50-15-7. Toledo was 4-4-2 in games played outside its division in the regular season, and 3-2-1 in games against the South Division. Going back to the regular season, Toledo has a record of 39-13-2 since January 1st.
Schedule! The best of seven series begins with Game 1 is Friday night at 7:30pm. Game 2 will be played at 7:05 p.m. on Monday in Gwinnett before the series moves to the Toledo Sports Arena. Game 3 will be played at 7:35 p.m. on May 12 and Game 4 will be played at 6 p.m. on May 14. Game 5, if necessary, would be played at 7:05 p.m. on May 16. Games 6 and 7 will be in Gwinnett on May 20 and 21 respectively.
