Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The ECHL has named Fresno Falcons right wing Fraser Clair its In Glas Co Player of the Week for Apr. 24 - 30.

Clair led the Falcons to a 3-1 lead last week in the best-of-seven Pacific Division Finals against the Bakersfield Condors by recording a team-high six goals and seven points over the first four games of the series. His Game One hat trick, just the fourth playoff hat trick in Fresno playoff history, propelled the club to a 5-3 series-opening win and included an unassisted goal, two power play goals, and the game-winner.

The fourth-year pro again stamped his mark on the series during the Falcons' come-from-behind win in Game Four. Clair tied the contest on a power play goal with the goaltender pulled in the late stages of regulation before sending the Condors to the brink of elimination with the overtime winner less than three minutes into the extra session.

He leads the Falcons in scoring with 10 points (6g-4a) through the first nine games of the playoffs and set new career highs with 25 goals and 46 points during the regular season.

Fresno's series lead was trimmed to 3-2 after last night's 4-2 loss in Game Five at Bakersfield. The teams now return to Save Mart Center for Game Six tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for the game at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center's box office beginning as low as $14 for Silver Section seats and just $10 for Student Section seats. If necessary, Game Seven would be played on Saturday at Save Mart Center at 7:30 p.m.

The winner of the Falcons-Condors series will move on to play the Alaska Aces in the National Conference Finals beginning on Monday, May 8, at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage.
