The Sarnia Sting and SSM Greyhounds meet tonight for the 6th of 8 meetings this season.The Sting hold a 4-1-0 advantage in the series to date.Tonight marks the first meeting between the clubs since a deadline trade that saw 4 players switching teams.Colt King and Matt Manias to the Sting and Reg Thomas and Travis Chapman make their first return trip to the SSEC.The Sting look to extend a season high 6-game winning streak.The Sting last played on Wednesday night and defeated the Plymouth Whalers 6-1.Danny Fritsche highlighted the Sting victory with a 3-goal, 4-point effort.The Greyhounds come into tonight's game on the heels of a 6-0 loss to the Windsor Spitfires and have lost 2 straight.The Sting are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games and have an overall record of 15-8-2 at the SSEC.The Greyhounds are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and an overall record of 9-16-1 on the road.
HISTORY IN THE MAKING?
The Sting look to set a club record tonight with its 7th straight victory.The club has made it to the 6-game mark on four separate occasions but has never won 7 in a row.As well in 1998-99 the team set the Sting mark with an 11 game unbeaten streak.
