The Sarnia Sting and SSM Greyhounds meet tonight for the 6th of 8 meetings this season.The Sting hold a 4-1-0 advantage in the series to date.Tonight marks the first meeting between the clubs since a deadline trade that saw 4 players switching teams.Colt King and Matt Manias to the Sting and Reg Thomas and Travis Chapman make their first return trip to the SSEC.The Sting look to extend a season high 6-game winning streak.The Sting last played on Wednesday night and defeated the Plymouth Whalers 6-1.Danny Fritsche highlighted the Sting victory with a 3-goal, 4-point effort.The Greyhounds come into tonight's game on the heels of a 6-0 loss to the Windsor Spitfires and have lost 2 straight.The Sting are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games and have an overall record of 15-8-2 at the SSEC.The Greyhounds are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and an overall record of 9-16-1 on the road.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING?

The Sting look to set a club record tonight with its 7th straight victory.The club has made it to the 6-game mark on four separate occasions but has never won 7 in a row.As well in 1998-99 the team set the Sting mark with an 11 game unbeaten streak.

Along with a 6-game winning streak the Sting have scored 4 or more goals in every game of the streak.The Sting have a record of 52-1-0 over the last two seasons when scoring 4 or more.

HOME COOKING

The Sting are also riding a 5-game winning streak here at the SSEC.The last time the Sting lost at home was New Years day vs. the London Knights.

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS

Forwards Danny Fritsche, Daniel Sisca and Joey Tenute have recorded at least one point during the 6-game winning streak.All three look to extend to 7-game streaks tonight.

The Sting are back in action tomorrow night here at the SSEC vs. the Kitchener Rangers.Game time is 7:30.The Greyhounds have tomorrow off and are in Plymouth on Sunday to take on the Whalers for a 2:00 start.
