Titans doubled up by Royals, 4-2

READING, PA - The Trenton Titans finished their five-game road trip on a sour note as they fell 4-2 to the Reading Royals on Saturday night at the Sovereign Center.

It took only forty seconds for the Royals to make it 1-0 as Grant Jacobsen settled down a bouncing puck in front of the crease and fired it past Rejean Beauchemin.

Chris Pittman answered right back for the Titans at 2:39 when he intercepted a Royals' outlet pass and beat Cody Rudkowsy with a backhander over the left shoulder.

The Royals went out in front for good when Doug Christiansen picked up the rebound from Dany Roussin's wrist shot and put it into the net at 15:52.

Christiansen returned the favor forty seconds into the second period as he fired a centering pass that Roussin batted home for a power play goal making it 3-1 in favor of Reading.

Malcom McMillan and Aaron Gill traded goals in the third period to complete the scoring.

Beauchemin finished the night with 39 saves as he goes to 4-11-1 on the year

The Titans went 0-for-6 on the power play and 5-for-7 on the penalty kill.
