WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips came up short to the Wild in overtime Friday night at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee.
After a stalemate in the first period, Reid Andresen broke the ice with a wrister that beat Silvertips netminder Raiden LeGall 5:42 into the second period. Jesse Heslop tied the game on the powerplay 16:54 into the second with a tap-in off a pass across the crease from Nolan Chastko.
Carter Bear netted his 31st goal of the season 6:27 into the third, giving the Tips the lead. Evan Friesen brought the Wild back even at 10:35 with a backdoor deflection during a 5 on 3 powerplay for Wenatchee.
Dawson Seitz netted the overtime winner for the Wenatchee Wild 1:55 into the overtime period with a backhander that reached over the shoulder of LeGall.
Raiden LeGall stopped 20 of 23 in the contest. Wild netminder Brendan gee turned aside 26 of 28 in the win, earning first star honors.
