
Tipoff Leads Rangers to 4-3 Win

A season high crowd of 6,575 went home happy after the Kitchener Rangers picked up their 8th in-a-row with a 4-3 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs.
Matt Tipoff scored a rebound at the 4:37 mark to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. Taylor Doherty replied with a backhander that trickled past Kitchener netminder Brandon Maxwell to tie the game 1-1. Jamie Doornbosch regained the Rangers lead after he buried a slapshot at 10:56 on the power play. Kingston's Jeff Braithwaite answered back with 1:33 left in the period to once again level the score 2-2.
Kitchener and Kingston exchanged goals in the second period to make it 3-3 after 40-minutes. Jason Akeson gave the Rangers a 3-2 lead after netting a sharp angle shot at 6:44 of the second. Ryan Davidson responded to level the score 3-3 by the 9:20 mark.
Tipoff scored his second of the game and the lone goal of the third period that gave the Rangers a 4-3 win. The goal came when Kitchener had a two-man advantage.
