MIDLAND, MI - Loons pitchers walked 11 Fort Wayne batters, and the TinCaps escaped Dow Diamond with a series win, winning 7-3 Tuesday afternoon over the Great Lakes Loons.

It was a tale of two different portions of the game. Prized prospect Ethan Martin started for the Loons and cruised through the first four innings, facing just one over the minimum. In the fifth, Martin surrendered two runs and departed after five innings, allowing three hits, one walk and striking out seven.

Jordan Pratt followed in the sixth and walked three straight with two out, the third of which brought home a run. He walked two in a scoreless seventh and walked the first two he faced in the eighth before departing with seven walks over two innings.

Robert Boothe walked the first batter he faced. Then with the game tied 3-3, he surrendered a bases loaded, three-RBI double to catcher Robert Lara.

The Loons' offense had rallied from a three-run deficit to tie the game in the seventh. With two runners in scoring position and one out, Alfredo Silverio singled to score Tony Delmonico and Anthony Hatch to knot the game at three each.

Pratt (1-2) was charged with the loss. His seven walks ties a franchise high and is the highest single-game walk total by a Loons' reliever. Former Dodger farmhand Michael Watt (1-0), who was a teammate of several Loons players last year for Ogden and played for Juan Bustabad in 2007 for the GCL Dodgers, picked up the win.

The Loons hit the road for a six-game series beginning Wednesday night in Appleton, WI against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Game time is 7:35pm ET. The game will be carried live on ESPN 100.9-FM.

Right-hander Kyle Smit (0-0) will make his first start of the year for the Loons against Wisconsin right-hander Cody Adams (0-1).

The Great Lakes Loons are the third-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
