
Timbers Travel to Face Seattle Sounders FC Tonight at CenturyLink Field

The Portland Timbers travel to face Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC in MLS regular-season action tonight, Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), at CenturyLink Field. The match features a national television broadcast on FS1 with local radio broadcast on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
Tonight's contest marks the 111th all-time meeting between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders FC since the 1975 season. Since the Timbers entered MLS in 2011, tonight's match will be the 37th match across all competitions between the two clubs, with the series tied 15-15-6. Notably, in five road matches against Seattle across all competitions since head coach Giovanni Savarese began coaching the club in 2018, the Timbers hold a 4-1-0 record, including a 4-2 penalty shootout win at CenturyLink Field in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals of the MLS Cup Playoffs on Nov. 8, 2018.
