Timbers Travel to Face LA Galaxy Tonight at Dignity Health Sports Park

Riding a three-match winning streak, the Portland Timbers travel to face the LA Galaxy in MLS regular-season action tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), at Dignity Health Sports Park. The match features a regional television broadcast on ROOT SPORTS with local radio broadcast on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

In their last match, the Timbers (7-4-3, 24pts) earned a 1-0 shutout over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Providence Park on Sept. 27, which extended a three-match winning streak dating back to Sept. 19. In their last six matches dating back to Sept. 6, Portland holds a record of 4-1-1. The Timbers sit in second place in the Western Conference standings, three points behind Seattle Sounders FC (8-3-3, 27pts).

Tonight's match marks the 25th regular-season meeting, and the 28th meeting across all competitions between the Timbers and the LA Galaxy since Portland joined MLS in 2011, with the Timbers trailing the series 10-11-6 across all competitions. Dating back to March 12, 2017, Portland has a record of 6-3-1 against the Galaxy across all competitions, outscoring LA 20-10 during that span. Notably, Diego Valeri has registered seven goals and eight assists in 18 regular-season matches against the Galaxy.
