Timbers Earn 1-1 Draw Against FC Dallas at Providence Park

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers and FC Dallas both scored goals deep in the second-half stoppage time as the two teams played to a 1-1 draw at Providence Park on Saturday night. Marvin Loría put the Timbers ahead in the 96th minute, but FC Dallas leveled the match in the 100th minute on a corner kick to see the team split the points as Portland extended its unbeaten run to 10 games.

Unbeaten Run

The Timbers (7-6-12, 33pts) extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with tonight's draw against Dallas, which is currently the longest active unbeaten streak in MLS. It is the fourth unbeaten streak of 10 or more games in the club's MLS history. The current streak is tied for the second-longest unbeaten streak in league play in club history. Portland has put together two 15-game unbeaten streaks with the first coming during the 2013 season and most recently from April 14-Aug. 4, 2018.

Home-Field Advantage

Portland is unbeaten in its last six home matches, posting a record of 3-0-3. The Timbers unbeaten run at home is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in MLS. Defensively, the Timbers have not conceded multiple goals in any game during that stretch. Offensively, Portland has outscored its opponents by a margin of 10-5. Since the beginning of their unbeaten run on June 18, the Timbers have conceded the second-fewest goals in home matches in the Western Conference during that span.

Goal-Scoring Plays

POR - Marvin Loría (penalty kick), 90+6: FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges was whistled for a handball in the box deep in second-half stoppage time after VAR, resulting a penalty kick. Marvin Loria's initial attempt was saved, but he pounced on the loose ball and converted into an open goal.

FCD - Own goal (Diego Chara), 90+10: FC Dallas sent in a corner kick from the left side. In an attempt to clear it, Diego Chara flicked it on with his head just inside of the far post.

The Timbers have the longest active unbeaten streak in MLS at 10 games. It is tied for the second-longest unbeaten streak in club history.

Portland is unbeaten in its last six home matches, posting a record of 3-0-3.

The Timbers are unbeaten in their last five matches against Dallas at Providence Park in league play, posting a record of 3-0-2.

In the all-time series, Portland has just one loss in 12 matches at home against FC Dallas.

The Timbers have scored in their last 11 games, tallying 21 in that stretch.

Portland has scored in 21 of its 25 matches this season. Only Austin FC (22) has scored goals in more matches.

The Timbers are 6-1-4 overall and 4-0-4 at home when scoring the opening goal this season.

Portland has scored 41 goals this season, which ranks as the third-most in the Western Conference.

Sebastián Blanco made his 150th career MLS regular season appearance in the match. He joins Diego Chara as the only other player on the Timbers active roster to feature in at least 150 career matches.

Marvin Loría scored his second goal of the season. He is the eighth player to reach double-digit goals this season for Portland.

Loría has now scored multiple goals in each of the last two seasons.

As a second half substitute, Loría led the team in shots (5) and shots on goals (3).

Yimmi Chara and Santiago Moreno are the only players that have appeared in every match for Portland this season (25).

Additionally, Y. Chara is the only player that's started every match for the Timbers in 2022.
