Black Owned Bos. Market Returns to Patriot Place for New England Revolution Matchday on August 13

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution and Black Owned Bos. have partnered to bring a dozen local, Black-owned businesses to a pop-up market at Patriot Place on Saturday, August 13 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. ET in honor of National Black Business Month. The Black Owned Bos. Market will be open to shoppers at the Patriot Place North Marketplace near CBS Sporting Club and Muse Paintbar. Shortly after the market closes, the Revolution will face off against D.C. United in Major League Soccer action, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.

"Black Owned Bos. is excited to be headed back out to Patriot Place for a vendor marketplace in celebration of Black Business Month," said Jae'da Turner, Founder and Managing Director of Black Owned Bos. "We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces."

Founded in March of 2019, Black Owned Bos. offers various services with the goal of highlighting and lifting Black-owned businesses, places, spaces, and the people moving the culture forward in the Greater Boston Area. This marks the second annual Black Owned Bos. Market hosted by the Revolution as the club prepares to celebrate its Match for C.H.A.N.G.E. on Aug. 13. Initiatives and activations for the match include the following:

Revolution jerseys for the match will feature a C.H.A.N.G.E. patch and will be autographed and auctioned with proceeds supporting a local non-profit in the social justice and equity space.

The Revolution Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group will collect toiletries to support Hope and Comfort.

Before the match, The Ammaya Dance and Drum Group will host a performance, featuring an interactive drumming circle, at the CVS Health Gate.

Revolution players will wear t-shirts from 195essential when arriving to the stadium. MLS Black Players for Change President Earl Edwards Jr., Jon Bell, and Tommy McNamara assisted with the C.H.A.N.G.E. themed design on the t-shirts. The t-shirts will be available for purchase on 195essential.com.
