Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers today unveiled their complete broadcast schedule for the 2022 season, with FOX 12 and ROOT SPORTS returning as the club's primary television partners.
All 21 locally televised Timbers matches will be broadcast over-the-air on FOX 12 PLUS (KPDX) across Oregon and Southwest Washington. In addition, ROOT SPORTS will broadcast encore editions of all locally televised games. KEVU in Eugene and KFBI in Medford will also continue to serve fans in the Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon, televising all games that air on FOX 12 PLUS. All 34 of the Timbers' regular-season matches will be broadcast live on television for a 12th consecutive season with 13 games on national broadcast networks across ABC, FOX, ESPN and FS1.
ROOT SPORTS returns for its 12th MLS season as the club's production partner. The Timbers and ROOT SPORTS have won numerous Emmy Awards since partnering in 2011. Once again this season, play-by-play announcer Jake Zivin and analysts Liam Ridgewell and Ross Smith will call the action on the television broadcast.
FOX 12, Home of the Timbers, will take an immersive approach to producing a regular series of Timbers Insider content. In the days leading up to each match, fans will see these exclusive features aired across a variety of FOX 12's highly rated newscasts. FOX 12 Timbers Insider content will also be viewable at timbers.com.
