Medicine Hat Tigers News Release
Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers announced a 3-way trade with the Saskatoon Blades and the Prince George Cougars today.
In the deal, the Tigers receive 2004 born defenceman Pavel Bocharov and 19 year-old Brendan Lee from the Saskatoon Blades as well as Prince George's 5th round pick in 2025.
The Tigers acquire a pair of American born players in Bocharov and Lee. Bocharov is a right shot defenceman from Escondido, California. The 16-year-old was originally selected in the 8th round of the 2019 WHL Prospect Draft by the Saskatoon Blades. In 46 career appearances the 6'0 D-man has one goal and seven assists. Bocharov has very good feet which allows him to maintain tight gaps and pinch off line rushes. He shoots the puck with purpose and looks for tips and lanes.
Brendan Lee has appeared in 101 career games in the Western League split between the Saskatoon Blades and the Everett Silvertips. The Seattle, Washington native stands 5'11 and weighs in at 187 LBS. Lee has 5 goals and 6 assists this season in 30 games for the Blades and has 30 career WHL points (16G, 14A).
The Blades receive Ryan Nolan ('04) and a 4th round pick in 2023 from the Tigers and Kyren Gronick ('04) from the Cougars. Prince George receives Cayden Glover ('04), Carlin Dezainde ('04) and a 2nd round pick in 2023 from the Tigers and 3rd round pick in 2023 and 7th round pick in 2025 from the Blades.
The Medicine Hat Tigers would like to thank Carlin, Cayden and Ryan for the time and energy they've brought to the team. We wish them well in the future.
