Vancouver, B.C. - Monday evening at the Langley Events Centre the Vancouver Giants (14-14-1-0) dropped a 3-1 decision to the visiting Victoria Royals (10-134-0). Brayden Schuurman had two goals for the Royals while Bailey Peach added a goal and an assist. Royals netminder Campbell Arnold stopped 39 Giants shots. The lone puck that got by him was courtesy of Kaden Kohle who struck early in the first for the Giants. Will Gurski made 27 saves in the Giants goal.
1st Period:
VAN - 3:23 into the game, Kaden Kohle parked himself in the slot, and redirected home an Alex Cotton pass up and under the bar for his second goal in as many games to stake the Giants to a 1-0 lead.
VIC - Brayden Shuurman answered for Victoria at 14:15 with his first of two on the night. The draft eligible forward wired home a shot from the high slot to give him 14 on the season. Assists came from Luke Shipley and Bailey Peach.
VIC - With 46 seconds left in the first, Brayden Shuurman tacked on his 15th of the season when he whacked home his own rebound on a Royals power play. Reggie Newman and Riley Gannon both earned assists on the eventual game-winning goal from the Royals.

2nd Period:
VIC - The final goal of the night came at 11:16 of the middle frame off the stick of Bailey Peach. The Royals leading scorer snapped home his 13th of the season off a power play rebound. The assists were credited to Riley Gannon and Gannon Laroque.

- Tonight marked the WHL debut for 2006-born defenceman Colton Roberts. Roberts was the 11th overall pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft. Fellow 2006-born goaltender Matthew Hutchison was also in uniform, serving as the back-up goaltender to Will Gurski.
