SKID SNAPPED - Wichita entered the weekend looking to get back on track after dropping its previous seven contests. The Thunder did just that on Friday night in a 3-2 overtime win at Tulsa. Wichita earned a point in a shootout loss the following night and claimed three out of four points in the StoneWolf Casino Cup Series.

OT WINNER - Danick Gauthier recorded his sixth goal of the season on Friday night and third in the last two games against the Oilers. His overtime winner helped Wichita to its first win that was decided in the extra session. Wichita is 3-2 in games decided past regulation.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS - Wichita remains at home for the next three games before heading out of town before the New Year. The Thunder hosts Tulsa on Saturday, December 26th, takes on Allen on Sunday afternoon and then finishes its brief home-stand with the Americans on Wednesday, December 30th.

STREAKIN' - Kenton Miller and Andy Huff have the hot hands as of late. Miller has points in the last three games (1g, 3a) while Huff had three goals this past weekend. Huff leads the team with seven goals and 14 points.

SOLID ACQUISITIONS - Dean Chelios and Landon Oslanski have fit in well since they were acquired in a trade with Alaska. Chelios has four points (2g, 2a) in eight games and recorded his second goal in a Thunder uniform on Saturday night. Oslanski has five points (1g, 4a) in eight games and has helped the power play. Three of his five points have come on the man advantage (1g, 2a).

SCORING EARLY - Out of the 51 goals the Thunder have scored this season, 22 of those have come in the first period.

MILESTONE - Ian Lowe is nearing a few more milestones. He is seven shy from appearing in his 300th game as a pro. He needs two more points to reach 200 in his career. With four more assists, he will have 100 in a Thunder uniform. The fifth-year pro out of Bradwardine, BC is currently in his fourth season in the Air Capital. 163 of his 198 points have come donning Thunder blue.

MILESTONE PART TWO - Erick Lizon appeared in his 200th ECHL game on Friday night. The 10-year pro out of Kitchener, Ontario ranks fourth all-time in Thunder history in majors (46), seventh in games played (235) and ninth in PIMs (566).

THUNDERBOLTS...Danick Gauthier leads the team in shots with 64......Wichita's penalty kill is ranked seventh at home (85.5%) and 12th overall (83.2%)... Wichita is 5-0-0-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 3-4-0-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 5-5-0-2 in one goal games...
