Rough Stretch: After winning three out of four a week ago, Wichita traveled to Tulsa Friday night to revisit its rivalry with the Oilers. The two teams headed into the game having faced each other 215 times all time. Tulsa took a two goal lead early in the contest before Thomas Beauregard scored to cut the lead to one. Beauregard has five points (2g, 3a) vs. Tulsa this season in four games. The Oilers extended their lead to 3-1 in the second period before Wichita fought back to tie the game at four. Alex Bourret added two goals and Travis Wight scored a shorthanded goal, his first of the season. The Oilers eventually went on to win the contest, 5-4, after receiving a five on three power play with 14 minutes left. Saturday night, Tulsa visited the INTRUST Bank Arena for the first time this season and took a crowd of 7,088 out of it early. Ryan Cramer scored two minutes into the game and Ian Keserich earned his league leading eighth win. With the loss, Wichita has now dropped three straight, all to Tulsa and now sits in third place with 16 points.

Bittersweet: Former Thunder netminder Ian Keserich has had Wichita's number since being waived last November. Including last season, Keserich is 9-2 against his former club and 6-1 a year ago. This season, Keserich is now 3-1 vs. Wichita after dropping the first game of the season to the Thunder, 6-2. Back in 2009-10, Keserich played in 22 games for Wichita, going 1-19-1 with a GAA of 3.71 and a save pct of .900.

Chasing History: 12-year veteran Daniel Tetrault is approaching an impressive milestone. With three more points this past week, Tetrault is just four points shy (165) of former Thunder defenseman Sean O'Reilly for the franchise lead in most points scored by a Thunder defenseman. O'Reilly played 311 games from 1997-02, scoring 169 points during that span while Tetrault has played 253 games in a Thunder uniform.

Berry vs Turner: Through the first 12 games, Wichita has faced an equal number of opponents inside their own division and outside of the Berry Conference. Facing the Turner Conference, Wichita is 5-1-0 overall while going just 3-3-0 against Berry Conference opponents. On home ice, Wichita is 5-2-0 while going 3-2-0 away from INTRUST Bank Arena.

Stepping up: The Thunder defensemen continue to have a significant impact offensively for Coach McClelland's team. Andrew Martens is in second place for defensive scoring with 12 points (5g, 7a), tied for first in goals and power play goals for defensemen. Tetrault is tied for third with 10 points (4g, 6a) while Jarred Mohr continues to lead the league in plus/minus (+11).

Scoring: Brett Hemingway had his seven game point streak snapped, but is still near the top of the league in scoring. Hemingway is currently tied for seventh with 14 points (6g,8a). Three other Thunder players (Beauregard, Bourret and Martens) are right behind Hemingway for the team lead with 12 points and seven players overall have at least 10 points.

Special Teams: Against Tulsa this past week, Wichita scored a power play goal in each of the three losses. The Thunder power play went four for 15 at a clip of 26.7% while killing off 11 of 16 opportunities for the Oilers. For the season against Tulsa, the Thunder power play is six for 23 at a rate of 26.1% while killing off 15 of 22 Tulsa power plays.
