Tulsa's Jeff Terminesi Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

November 21, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

GLENDALE, AZ (November 21, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa defenseman, Jeff Terminesi, has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending November 20, 2011.

In recognition of his achievement, Terminesi will receive a special gift from Oakley. To learn more about the wide range of Oakley's products, visit www.oakley.com.

The Mississauga, Ontario native has had an outstanding rookie season so far in the CHL, averaging a point-per-game with 2 goals and 11 assists in 13 games played. Terminesi is the top scoring defenseman in the CHL and is tied for second among all rookies with his 13 points. Terminesi is the first defenseman this year to win the weekly honor.

This past week, the first-year professional recorded six points, three in each of his two outings, as he led the Oilers to back-to-back wins against Wichita. In Friday's 5-4 win against the Thunder, the 6-2, 190-pound defenseman's presence was known, especially on the powerplay as he notched assists in the first and second period. The game was tied 4-4 when Terminesi's power play goal gave the Oilers the lead for good. The next night, he led his team to their fourth straight win with three helpers in Tulsa's 4-1 victory over Wichita.

Tulsa currently sits in second place in the Berry Conference with an 8-4-1 record and are two points away from the top spot in the conference.
